Growth ultrasound
(Foetal Biometrics – Doppler)

This examination is recommended for all pregnant women. It is considered necessary in cases of growth/development complications in the current or/and past pregnancies. The examination determines the growth/development and health of the foetus based on:

• Detailed biometric data and estimation of the foetus’ weight
• Assessment of foetal motility
• Imaging of the position and composition of the placenta
• Quantification of amniotic fluid
• Examination of blood flow from the placenta to the foetus using colour Doppler
• Depending on the foetus’ position, all its organs are checked.
